Is it possible to give your kitchen that up-market look without the 3-5 day hassle of ripping your existing kitchen apart? Without suffering the hidden cost of new plaster and plumbing problems, replacing tiles, wooden floors unnecessarily? Can you afford to spend €3,000 + on a new kitchen?
At David Daly kitchens we give you the answer. We keep your existing cabinets, removing the doors, pelmet, cornice, plinth, leaving just the skeleton of your kitchen. Next, we add in new units and worktops if necessary, in your choice of colour and style. We give you new handles, hinges, matching cornice, pelmet, plinth and end gables. (if you are unfamiliar with this terminology – see our quick guide below)
GETTING YOUR KITCHEN REFACED HAS A NUMBER OF ADVANTAGES:
Cornice A cornice is simply the horizontal decorative molding that runs along the top your cabinets. It can really help to give a clean and finished look to your kitchen. These are available in a number of styles.
Pelmet This is the bit that runs horizontal underneath your cabinets. It can often be used to hide certain details, for example some people choose to have a row of lights underneath the presses. These come in a variety of different options.
Plinth The plinth is the part that runs between your floor and cabinets. It covers unsightly gaps and again, really helps to finish off your kitchen.
